Everything you need to know about how HealthSpanMD works.
Questions We Often Hear
HealthSpanMD helps you improve your health today while reducing your future risk of disease. You'll receive a personalised, doctor-led plan designed to improve metabolic health, fitness, strength, sleep and overall wellbeing, while aiming to lower your long-term risk of conditions such as heart disease, stroke, diabetes, some cancers and dementia.
HealthSpanMD complements, rather than replaces, your regular doctor. Traditional healthcare is largely focused on diagnosing and treating disease. We focus on identifying risks early, optimising your health and helping prevent disease through personalised, evidence-based lifestyle and medical interventions
AI can provide general information, but it cannot examine you, interpret your complete medical context or tailor recommendations to your unique health profile. At HealthSpanMD, experienced doctors integrate your medical history, examination, laboratory results, body composition, lifestyle and goals to develop a personalised plan with ongoing monitoring and expert guidance.
No. We work alongside your treating doctor, not in place of them. Our programmes are designed to complement your existing care, addressing lifestyle, metabolic health, and root cause factors. Where appropriate and in coordination with your doctor, this can support, where safe, reducing medicines together with your treating doctor, alongside improvements in overall health and vitality
Many important health risks develop silently, years before symptoms appear. Our assessments look beyond routine health checks to identify early metabolic dysfunction, hidden risk factors and opportunities to optimise your health before disease develops.
Most people benefit from one comprehensive baseline assessment. Many follow-up consultations can be conducted online, making the programme convenient even if you live outside Mumbai or travel frequently.
A one-day executive check-up is usually a test package with a short report. HealthSpanMD's assessment is led by specialist doctors. It includes a consultation, body composition and physical performance tests and advanced blood analysis, and gives you a personalised plan. Optional 3-month or annual follow-up programmes are available.
Continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) and the home sleep study are arranged by our clinic and worn at home. DEXA, whole-body MRI, CT calcium score, liver and carotid ultrasound and blood tests are done at a partner centre.
No. The Executive Health Checkup is the same as the Metabolic Health & Longevity Assessment.
Not necessarily. Lifestyle measures always form the foundation of our approach. Supplements are recommended only when there is a clear medical indication or evidence that they are likely to provide meaningful benefit.
Your assessment includes a detailed medical consultation, lifestyle review, longevity-focused examination, physical performance testing, body composition analysis, blood biomarkers and other investigations where appropriate. Together, these create a comprehensive picture of your current health and future risks.
You'll gain a clear understanding of your metabolic health, biological risks, strengths, areas for improvement and personalised priorities. Most importantly, you'll receive a practical roadmap explaining what to do, why it matters and how to measure your progress.
That's reassuring—but it doesn't mean there's nothing to optimise. The goal is not only to detect disease but also to maintain excellent health, improve resilience and maximise healthy years of life.
Our clinic is based in Mumbai, and we also offer virtual consultations, allowing people across India to access our doctor-led metabolic health and longevity programmes.
